The first illustrations of Le Bristol Paris and The Lanesborough in London have been revealed this week during Megan’s world book tour promoting her latest book ‘New York, through a fashion eye’.Megan Hess was destined to draw. An initial career in graphic design transcended into art direction for some of the world’s leading advertising agencies and for Liberty department store in London. In 2008 Hess illustrated the New York Times number one selling book, ‘Sex and The City’. Following the release, Hess was catapulted onto the world stage and began illustrating Portraits for the New York Times, Italian Vogue and Vanity Fair Magazine. She has since written and illustrated three bestselling books: Fashion House, The Dress and Coco Chanel, and has become one of the world’s most sought after fashion illustrators.Megan spoke of her new role; “I’m so thrilled to become the “Artist in Residence” for the Oetker Collection. As an artist, one of the biggest sources of inspiration for me is travel.
