He reportedly sent a video to his colleagues praising the visionary character of the Quaran, Islam’s holy book. The video was described as proselytizing by Jordan Bardella, the departmental secretary of the FN in Seine-Saint-Denis who decided to suspend the young elected from his responsibilities within the departmental office.“Religion is a private choice, which I respect but it should not interfere with our political activities. The video he sent is proselytizing and unacceptable. That’s why I’ve decided to suspend from his responsibilities,” Jordan Bardella was quoted by RTL as saying.Maxence said that within the FN there are many Islamophobic, adding that this is not the case of Le Pen and other national leaders “who know the difference between private life and public life.”
