The Nokia X71 is now official in Taiwan. HMD Global has announced the Nokia X71, which is the first Nokia phone with a punch-hole display. Additionally, the Nokia X71 is also HMD’s first to sport a a triple camera setup that includes a 48MP sensor. Powered by a Snapdragon 660 chipset, the mid-range Nokia X71 is rumoured to launch globally as the Nokia 6.2 or Nokia 8.1 Plus, but HMD is yet to confirm the reports.Nokia X71 price and release dateThe Nokia X71 is priced at NTD 11,990 (approx Rs 26,900) in Taiwan. The phone is currently up for registrations and is expected to go on sale starting April 10. The Nokia X71 is offered in a single Eclipse Black colour with copper accents around the frame, fingerprint sensor and camera module.Nokia X71 specificationsAs mentioned, the Nokia X71 is the first Nokia smartphone to sport a punch-hole cutout in the display. The hole is situated on the top left side of the display, and this allows for a notch-less screen and larger screen real estate. The Nokia X71 sports a 6.39-inch FHD+ PureDisplay with a 19.3:9 aspect ratio.The Nokia X71 borrows certain design elements from past Nokia smartphone such as a glass back design with a vertical camera setup and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Notably, the Nokia X71 also gets the LED power button breathing light that HMD introduced earlier this year with the Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2 phones.Powering the Nokia X71 is an octa-core Snapdragon 660 chipset paire with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB. The device ships with Android 9 Pie and supports Dual SIM cards with Dual Standby 4G VoLTE. The global version of the Nokia X71 should get the Android One branding with stock Android Pie out of the box. The handset houses a 3,500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging over USB Type-C.
