Established Lancashire estate agency shuts up shop

first_imgA six-year-old estate agency in Lancashire that only operated out of business parks rather than on the high street has been wound up voluntarily and joint liquidators have been appointed.Lime Estate Agents Limited had been operating as a business since 2012 and was first incorporated as a company in 2016, operating out of serviced offices in Preston before moving to a business village on the outskirts of Preston. The company does not appear to have had a high street branch at any point during its operation and its patch covered Preston and South Ribble.Lime Estate Agents offered a ‘fresh approach’ to estate agency and offered social media expertise to its customers including active accounts on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, and garnered a clutch of five-star reviews on AllAgents.co.uk.Lime Estate Agents has been run by sole director Kevin Richardson (pictured, above) and was named after a famous line of lime trees in Preston and traded until June this year. Its website is now down and it no longer lists properties on Rightmove or Zoopla.Companies House records show that accounts for Lime Estate Agents have been overdue since 15 August this year, despite its accounting period being extended.Richardson, who has a 16-year track record as an estate agent, now holds a franchise with Keller Williams for the area and is marketing properties via it’s national website.Mark Colman and John Titley of local insolvency firm Leonard Curtis have been appointed as joint liquidators for the purposes of winding up the company.Kevin Richardson preston Keller Williams Lime Estate Agents September 18, 2018Nigel LewisWhat’s your opinion?
